COMPETITION FINALS BEGIN MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23

Rehearsal order for Preliminary Stage at Carnegie Hall set

The final round of the Maazel/Vilar Conductors' Competition is set to begin Monday morning, September 23, at Carnegie Hall. Over the first two days of the final round, the eight participating conductors will each rehearse the Orchestra of St. Luke's in two movements from the Sibelius Symphonies Nos. 1 & 2.

The sessions, which run from 9:30am-12:30pm and 2:30pm-5:30pm on Monday, and from 9:30am-12:30pm and 2:00pm-5:00pm on Tuesday, are free and open to the public. General admission tickets are available at the Carnegie Hall box office, beginning at 9:00am on the days of the competition, for that day's sessions only.
